Book
Bohemians quickly fall into despair as a royal family feud dims the outlook of the Bohemian kingdom; once revered by all as the "Kingdom of Light." Discover the "golden city" of central Europe through the eyes of a poor Czech orphan who saves lackluster Bohemian royals and her orphanage from various demise in The Adventures of Jordanka. The handmade recycled artwork is made out of fabrics and trinkets you would find in your grandmother's magical closet and junk drawer, or within the walls of a gypsy caravan.

Giving Back
There are over 20,000 orphaned, abandoned, and institutionalized children in the Czech Republic today - an alarmingly high number for a country of its size.
The underlying message of the book is "to whom much is given, much is expected." Proceeds from the first book will go towards helping needy children living in the Czech Republic.
In July 2009, the author relocated to Prague to partner with Czech-based NGOs who are currently assisting with these initiatives.
Within the next two years, Jordanka Inc. would like to open a privately run orphanage in Prague.

Author and Illustrator
Born in Japan, Ms. Teske grew up in Connecticut and studied business at SMU in Texas. Unable to afford a gorgeous Russian chandelier necklace one day, she began making her own baubles. Original pieces were made from antique Bohemian chandeliers. Her love of international travel, European history, fashion design, and mission outreach to orphans is the colorful backdrop of The Adventures of Jordanka series.
